”I was looking for a second pony for my daughter Thea. We wanted a good, steady jumper with the ability to jump at least 120 cm and brave enough for the three-day eventing. We had seen pictures in the local paper in Sweden, where we have a holiday farm, of a young girl and pony Lacken King winning Three-day Eventing competitions. The pony came from Ireland. We contacted the girls parents who gave us information about Gloria Nolan's stable.
I made contact with Gloria and a number of other stables with ponies for sale and with Thea and grandfather, we went to Ireland. Thea tried many lovely ponies, but we chose the Connemara pony Cooldorougha Boy from Gloria Nolan. We have not regretted our choice. Although our time at Gloria’s place was very limited due to practical reasons we felt very welcome and she appeared very trustworthy and had a lovely way of treating her horses. The pony was well schooled, obedient, seemed very content and well behaved.
All further communication concerning the purchase was by mail and telephone. Gloria arranged for the veterinary examination and measuring of the pony. We had a very good impression of the vet. she uses. He was easy to communicate with. Willingly sent us x-rays by mail. All the necessary paperwork was professionally handled with standard contract and money paid safely by the bank.
After the pony was paid for, Gloria arranged transport with a firm she had good experience with. After four days of travelling, we could pick up Romeo in Gothenburg. A tired, but healthy pony, who obediently exited the large horse box and into our trailer for the last journey to his new home. We were very satisfied with how everything was handled by Gloria.
Everything she told us about the pony has proved true. She still keeps in contact to hear how Romeo is doing, very much appreciated.
