Gloria Nolan Connemara Ponies is based in Co. Carlow, Southeast Ireland. We are producing and selling top quality Irish Connemara ponies for competition and leisure.
Since the business started in 2008, we are exporting ponies to many countries worldwide including the United Kingdom, all over Europe as well as the United States. All our ponies have gone on to excel in their disciplines.
Our Ponies are produced for the disciplines of show jumping, eventing, dressage, working hunter and the leisure market. They are sourced and carefully selected for their kind temperament, pedigree, conformation and ability.
A number of foals are also bred each year from top performance lines to ensure an ongoing supply of quality Connemara ponies. Selected stallions must have proven themselves, this is important when breeding talented ponies.
Our Business Model to give as much time and attention to get the best performance from our ponies. Therefore a small number are produced at any one time.
Our Passions & Beliefs
We are passionate about our ponies. We believe that the early stages of training are the foundation for building trust and confidence. Our ponies are happy and content which all benefits their long-term performance. This is our main objective here at Gloria Nolan Connemara ponies.
The ponies are produced on a working family farm, they are exposed to other farm animals and machinery, this adds to their overall education. It is important for us to match our ponies with suitable rider so that they can go on to reach their full potential.
This is a win/win situation for all parties. “A Happy pony equals a Happy rider”. Our ponies are with us for a long time this allows us to carry out full training and production. We will know all their personalities and traits so we can stand over our ponies and their capabilities at the time of sale.
Having competed in competition from a young age, Gloria went on to achieve a Degree in Equine and Business. She then worked in various aspects of the Thoroughbred industry both in Ireland, the UK, France and Australia.
